Charitable Crafters began back in August of 2001 when brainytrading.net.in/download-iq-option-app I realized the need in our community. A warm coat, sweater, snow pants, hat, scarf, and mittens can be difficult for people to purchase even if they aren't on a limited income. We started by donating items to the Kid's Closet through the Duluth public school system. We quickly branched out to supplying warm handmade outerwear for all ages and then we began supplying area hospitals with chemo caps and nursing homes with walker bags. My aim is to have crafters create items that they enjoy making while producing something that the community can use. Some of our crafters enjoy making http://brainytrading.net.in/download-iq-option-app only mittens while others come up with something new every few months. From handmade toys to chemo caps, baby blankets to winter hats, everyone involved can benefit from the simple act of giving.
We schedule
informal meetings at Yarn Harbor
every other Sunday at noon. You can always check the
Organizational
Information page for dates.

"This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people...and your very flesh shall be a great poem."-Walt Whitman "Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in."-Alan Alda "As the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike, let your heart be untroubled by judgments and let your kindness rain down on all."-Shakyamuni Buddha "Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself."-Chief Seattle

"The world is a dangerous place. Not because of those
that would do evil, but because of those that would stand by and do
nothing."-Albert Einstein “The nearest
thing to the hand of God in this life is the hand of someone who loves you.
It is the new mother’s hand brushing gently along the back of her nursing
newborn. It’s the father’s hand that lifts a tiny child high enough
above the crowd to see the passing parade. It’s the first time you held
hands with someone who thought you were handsome, or pretty, who hoped for a
good night kiss. It’s the hand of a grandmother soothing her husband’s
fevered brow. It’s your hands; reaching toward my children, when I can no
longer lift my own hands to serve them." "Remember, even the smallest person can change the course
of the future..."
"I Know a please, a thank you, and a smile will take me
far. I know that I am me and you are you and we are one. I know
that who I am is numbered in each grain of sand. I know that I've been
blessed again and over again." -Wanting Memories-Sweet Honey in the Rock
